Shortcut Description

Across.to is the cheapest, fastest, and securest bridging option. This shortcut is used for bridging ETH to Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, zkSync, and Polygon. This proposal should also cover sending assets from L2s to Ethereum once ENS resolvers exist on any of the above L2s.

Flow Chart of Actions:

  1. User sends ETH to the Shortcut.
  2. The Shortcut interacts with Across.to.
  3. ETH is bridged to the selected Layer 2 network (Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, zkSync, Base).
  4. Bridged ETH is sent to the user’s wallet on the chosen network.

Shortcut names

  • across.to.arbitrum - send ETH to Arbitrum
  • across.to.optimism - send ETH to Optimism
  • across.to.base - send ETH to Base
  • across.to.zksync - send ETH to zkSync
  • across.to.polygon - send ETH to Polygon

Shortcut Complexity Score: 2

Considering the integration with an external bridge service (Across.to) and the need to handle transactions on multiple networks, the complexity score is set at 2.

Proposed Fee: 0.2%

A fee of 0.2% per transaction is proposed to cover the costs of using Across.to and maintaining the Shortcut.

@mr.bahama this is a great addition to our bridges, we’re going to review this with the team. If it was up to you, which bridge would you enable this for if you couldn’t do Arb, Base, Optimism, Polygon?

Thanks! Given that these are the only L2s supported by Across, any proposal to utilize Across would be infeasible if it requires support outside of these L2s.
